Okay, first off, just let me say, I've watched a lot of gay indie movies, and most of them are crap, the writing is awful/awkward and the characters just feel weird. It doesn't help that I don't find the actors particularly attractive most of the time, so maybe I'm biased. Hmmm pretty :D )
Hotness, so much hotness )

It's hailing right now, or well, it looks more like it's snowing but it is hailing... wtf there was sunshine not an hour ago >.> (AND NOW IT'S SNOWING WTF WEATHER THIS IS NOT ON, it's supposed to be spring!!! Northern Germany does not get snow end march/beginning of April, not in Global Warmin time ://///) And I have to go to a friends later on and she lives 6km away... annnnd I'm taking the bus :(.

Anyway, in between learning maths and crying and learning more maths I've been trying to pick myself up with some new The Big Bang Theory , which while I didn't forget it, it's awesomeness did slip my mind oddly enough but ... I don't recall who linked this, but [ profile] fairandbright has put together some reasons you should watch TBBT. And ahahaha, I got the episodes as fast as i could and I need to get some icons asap, this show is just so quotable, and dorky, and geeky and the numerous references, the unashamed fanboying of so much stuff is hilarious.

Which of course brings me to my favourite character on the show: SHELDON, oh sheldon, if he weren't asexual as hell, I'd totally do him, but I have to make do with his awesome monologues and ocd's.

Again; weather THIS IS NOT ON, winter is OVER, you hear me, OVER!!! I want spring, i want green trees and warm weather, to get a tan! Not Snowflakes and wintercoats *SIGH*

Soooo, last night I got my new cellphone *_* which can finally store more than 5 MB music and thus will be my new help to get me through my daily trainrides. I love travelling by train, I love sitting around and just looking at the countryside. The only thing I don't love ... is the passengers. I'm sorry but I'm not really interested in your drunken ramblings about football games, your loud telephone conversations and I just want some quiet after a hellish day of Uni. *cough* Which is why I always have music playing. Eeee~ New PHONE :D

Of course, since it's NEW AND SHINY, i couldn't esist playing around with it until about 3 am in the morning at which point I realized that I would have to get up 5 hours later and tried to go to sleep ... and that didn't work either. I don't know when I eventually succumbed to sleep but I spent a lot of time last night tossing and turning and cursing my sleeplessness.

Merlin: I've been following it kinda regularly and man do I love where it's going. I hope they make a second season (it does look like it), because there is just so much more that they could do with it. So many plotthreads have been introduced but nothing more yet, so I'd love to see follow up on that. I loved the last few eps, they were so heartwarming and well, this is my fluff show, I use it to have 45 min of pure fun (it doesn't hurt that fandom gives me almost all the porn I need :D), and I'm sad that it's almost over :((

Now I'm trying to do my physics homework and augh i hate it *sigh* of course me missing the last two classes doesn't make it better >.<'
littleblacksheep: (Default)
Sooooo, i haven't written anything in ... well weeks/months/LJ-years, shame on me *hangs head* but uni is really kicking my butt and not having any internet access at all doesn't make it any easier. But, in my (few few sparetime *clings to weekends*) I have read and also watched teevee, so lemme tell you all about that then:

Havemercy by Jaida Jones and Danielle Bennett )I guess what it comes down to(*cough* for anyone that thinks tl;dr much?*cough*), is that I give it TWO bleets out of five , one for the dragons and one for the writing, which was good.

Now we come to:

Whistling in the Dark by Tamara Allen )

So my end result: FIVE bleets out of five :D:D
littleblacksheep: (:O!)
Bah, i hate packing. But it is going surprisingly fast haha, well... it needs to, or Mom will kill me when she and dad come on saturday to hlp me with my stuff...

On other notes: Organic Chem is coming along swimmingly and I can happily ignore TOR while I'm packing/studying :D:D always a bonus!

Now: Onto TV. Fall season is in full swing and I'm loving SO much TV this season :D:D! Spoiler warning obvs

Since my soon-to-be-step-dad gave me Photoshop CS3, I've started dabbling in photoshop again (aside from my nakama editing), and browsing through various tutorials some more helpful than others... I'm still pissed of that it took me so long to figure out the pen tool :/ I've discovered You Suck at Photoshop

Man, I was giggling through all of the 16 released 'episodes' and actually didn't pay that much attention to the tutorials, but they look awesome and actually made me try out some features I had neglected until then.

If you haven't seen them already? Watch them - even if photoshop isn't something you deal with often :D!

Soo, haven't posted in ages again :/. This seems to be a recurring theme with me, but anyway, I've been busy looking for an apartment and studying for exams.

That is not to say I haven't been enjoying fandom! I've been slowly rewatching Batman Beyond (which is still awesome) and am now starting on Batman: The Animated Series. And man have I ever missed how good it was. You just can't really appreciate that when you're 13 and watching it for the first time. Not that it wasn't good or anything but now I can really appreciate the music and everything. Which of course means that I have to go looking for fic again and thank god for Te ([ profile] thete1) and her awesome stories. Also: she posted another one just a few days ago, 250000+ words!!! A quarter million words of awesome *bookmarks*

On my shiniest of shiny Fandoms ever, One Piece: Spoilers for most recent One Piece Chapters )

Also: man I should organise my tags again *runs off to do that*

So, for the last few months, one pairing has become a quiet fixture in my daily Youtube raids.
And to my shame >.< this pairing is featured in a soap-opera. Yes, I know, a soap-opera-pairing. One wouldn't really expect much from that, right? But to everyones surprise it is handled really well.
It's a rather classic coming-out story, with misunderstandings and angst for enough teenage gothic poems. But still the actors just bring so much life to their characters and you really feel for them. And their relationship is so sweet once they finally get together, they really are there for each other and they are so affectionate and it is so cute. And there hasn't been any cheating, surprise babies or any of that in the two months (two months of soap-opera so about thrice as long in story development or something) yet. And it promises to get only better. Of course it's not smooth sailing but their relationship is really grounded and so well written for a soap-opera that everyone should watch it.

So I'm posting the first part in german here (the next parts are linked at youtube itself, i think. Sadly enough there is no clear playlist for the german parts but you can find them on youtube in various permutations ^^ ):

and for all the english-speaking people on my flist:

here is the playlist in its entirety with english subtitles. Watch it!!!!

Nrrrrrrf! Someone drew Disney Boys in Underwear ala Calvin Klein.

The art is amazing, nice blend of human bodies while still keeping the characteristic facial features of the original art and making the change from 'cartoonish' art to 'real' bodys seemless and stunning. And Hot. V.v. hot! Don't miss out on this one :D!
littleblacksheep: (BWAHAHAH. lol.)

littleblacksheep: (bitch!OTP)
Dammit, I wanted to go home today but first I missed my train then I went to the library, missed the OTHER train, then said fuck-it and went back to bed :/.

Sooo, anyway... The Roommate and I are a force to be reckoned with when we are together :D, which is why we-- when we met up with a friend of ours and her boyfriend yesterday-- behaved for a change. Because our friend's boyfriend is v. laid back and not really used to two wacked out girls who agree that (gay-)porn is a v. good ice-breaker. And since she is a good friend and he will move here soon we said: Hey it's probably good if he likes us! so we were tamer than usual. But we saw Sweeney Todd AND IT WAS AWESOME )

Also, the weather is fucking awful atm. It's either raining, cold or windy outside and grargh I want spring, I want green trees and baby animals and warm fun weather so I can sit outside, have a barbecue and read on my balcony. NOT happy :/!

On another note: living with people who study the same thing as you is fantastic. Basically we're fighting about who will be supreme ruler of the earth in the future, but I think I have a fair chance with my Telepathic Geek Harem Army, whereas TR thinks she can rule earth with an army of chloroplast-cats. Yeah right :D. But she is also convinced she will have her first Nobel-Prize by the time she is 27. I let her have her dreams :D:D.
littleblacksheep: (BWAHAHAH. lol.)
One of my favourite Comedians is Eddie Izzard, a self-described male-lesbian or rather, an action transvestite.

I was feeling a little down, these last few days, so I thought: Self, you've been so emo lately, what should I do? And BAM, the answer came: Watch me some Eddie Izzard.

And since I think more people should know of his awesomeness I give you clips from my favourite shows: Dress to Kill and Glamour! He's hilarious! His style is a sort of running commentary on history and anything that comes into his mind.

First: Cake or DEATH?! One of his most well-known gags. Eddie Izzard plays out how the Church of England Iquisition (in contrast to the spanish inquisition) would have worked, sounds not really funny but it IS XD~

click for more hilarity! )

You know what's really horrible? Seeing a person that greets you and having ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHO THAT PERSON IS. I mean, I'm really bad with names, so often when I talk about someone I'm like: Do you see ..... .............................................................................. oh yeah Stephanie, over there?
It makes for awkward pauses in conversations. It's even WORSE when I'm talking to someone and I have to say 'you' because their name just won't come over my LIPS. It's amusing though that it mostly happens with people I don't know that well or don't like. Maybe my brain is telling me something along the lines of: Their names aren't worth learning!!

Anyway Life is all Yay right now and I hope it stays that way :O. Although I have to start looking for work and get my driving license done (alksjf I'm so lazy). I also cannot wait for Ugly Betty to come to Germany, I mean, it's like Verliebt in Berlin but BETTER. I mean, it's developed as a normal series, with 22+ Episodes and not 200+ per year, so the storyline is a) a lot more condensed and b) it's not all about the ROMANCE OMG! I mean, not that I'm entirely against THAT per se, but you know, the prospect of 200+ Episodes of counting flower leaves He-loves-me; He-loves-me-not was frightening to a degree that I couldn't even attempt to watch ViB. While Vib was a 'true' telenovela in the scopes of its 'magnitude' of air time, Ugly Betty seems to adapt more of the hilarious telenovela story-devices. I mean, sure, the beginning is rather slow and I wasn't sure whether or not I would end up to like Betty or not, I love her now. America Ferrera is an amazing actress (and so pretty in real life), and I do hope Ugly Betty stays on for some time, and comes to Germany soon. Hmmm... maybe I'll make the pilot available later.

I am procrastinating.

I shouldn't but I can't seem to focus right now. So I do something else now. I tried studying for 1 1/2 hours but nothing stuck in my mind so I figured it was better to take a break for now and hope this slump blows over. Fast.

We've another meeting in two classes tomorrow. I don't know if that'll really help me or anything but who knows.

I'll just post a link rec for today. Anyone who hasn't seen [ profile] iharthdarth yet, you should (and even if you did, check it out again, you know it's worth it!). It's one of the best parody-online-comics out there and even if you're not familiar with the Star Wars Franchise, don't pass up that chance to miss it. Because even if you don't know it that closely you probably know what it's about and it's really fun to look at this parody especially concerning the 'new' episodes. I haven't even watched Episode 2 and 3 and I loved it all the same.

There are not many comics, and those are mostly four panel strips with a little note underneath.
littleblacksheep: (Queen of everyone)
It seems as if my F-list has been taken over by Hikaru no Go again and whooo~ am I exited by that fact. I discovered that series ages ago ( I think it was 2002 when it was still being scanlated by ToriyamaWorld and I didn't really know anything about Go. I was just fascinated by the pretty artwork.

It was written by Hotta Yumi and drawn by Obata Takeshi and appeared first in Weekly Shounen Jump in 1998. It ran until 2003 and spans over 23 volumes. Fangushing to the nth-degree - this is by no means a complete and good summary for the series u.u + linkage for the needy (also: SPOILER) )
littleblacksheep: (*purrs*)
Well the last two days I have spent mainlining Dexter, a new show on the cable sender Showtime (of QAFUS - Fame). And I was really fascinated. I have already spammed Sanny with a few lines from the first episode all excited over a new TV Show I could follow. And with the Season in 12 Episode it's even in a quite manageable size, the plot is not too bloated and the sub-plots are nicely resolved (or not so much nicely resolved in some cases *g*)

Also? HOMG DEXTER IS PLAYED BY MICHAEL C. HALL (David from Six Feet Under). He really couldn't have chosen a more different role and by god he does it well. I have always been fascinated by sociopaths (Johan, Hanibal Lecter, Yagami Raito .. ngh) and Dexter is a worthy addition to that list. He is so completely devoid of emotion but he tries so hard to fake it, just to pass as normal and at the same time be himself.
And Dexter's girlfriend is none other than a vampire Julie Benz of Darla from Buffy TVS and Angel fame. Hee~.

I'm really curious as to how the next season will go down with all the issues that have been left unresolved.

You could, technically click here to maybe get the first episode )

So, I pretty much got addicted to K/TW/J-dramas. Oh god, I don't know why but apparently sometimes the mood strikes me to watch totally sappy shows with foreseeable story lines and almost always a happy ending. Sometimes it's not your usual 'Girl is forced to marry/live/help/work for Love Interest' stuff, sometimes it's really serious work (like Jyoou no Kyoushistu aka The Queen's Classroom, A litre of tears - which I haven't watched yet because the concept makes me twitch, too much angst for my taste). There is of course your normal Soap-ish Drama. And most of the time you have a happy ending, which isn't bad perse because if you KNOW it's going to end well it sometimes makes it easier to watch.

Rambling about Dramas )

Oh god, I just wrote 1000 words on Dramas.

Enough on Dramas. Onto Movies or specifically one K-Movie: The King and the Clown (Wang ui Namja), the highest grossing Korean Movie ever. Even without a A-List cast or -Director this movie drew in over 12 million people into the Cinemas. And this with just cause. Due to it's homosexual theme it may draw allusions to Brokeback Mountain and while that movie was great as well I think I may like Wang ui Namja more since the emotional impact is greater. It's about a short time in Korean History where a King fell in love with a jester who mocked him. But the real love story lies elsewhere and god, I'm tearing up even thinking about it. With minimal effect Wang ui Namja created a setting that seems so colorful and yet so tragic the emotional impact of the ending is even greater than Brokeback Mountain. It's more soft-spoken than BBM and with that the desired effect is delivered so fantastically. Definitely a MUST SEE. (is also DL-able on SilentRegrets ^^)
Also? Lee Joon-gi is so pretty it almost HURTS.. christ.

And now I need to see goong again. And Wang ui Namja. *throws in DVD*

Hachja, good times.
Hachja.

Weee fannish rambling (in german) )

Also los leute, sorgt dafür, dass sie wieder ins Deutsche Fernsehen kommt *anglubsch* und vielleicht kriegen wir dann ja auch die dritte staffel!
